Because they tend to look more natural that other types of weaves, more women are choosing to buy weaves with Closure Wig. The problem is that many don’t know how to install them, when he process is so simple, it can be done at home. In this guide, we are going to show you how to do your own sew in with lace closure.

Before we begin this sew in with 5x5 Closure tutorial, we feel we must point out that the most popular way to install a lace frontal is by sewing down the back of the wig and then using a bonding agent to glue the rest of the wig on the hairline. But you can also choose to fully clip in or sew in the weave without using any bonding agent.

When learning how to do a full sew in with 5x5 HD Lace Wig, most people also tend to forget that that you can leave some of your own hairline out, with the weave installed just behind the hairline.

How to Do Sew in with 5x5 Closure Wig
Before we begin the process of sewing in the wig, it is important to ensure that you have a needle and thread. To make the process much faster, it is a good idea to have more than one needle so you can thread both needles and use one after the other without needing to re-thread.

With that done, follow these simple steps to sew in the lace closure weave;see the video about this step:

Step 1: Begin by braiding your hair in braids that run parallel from each other front to back.

Step 2: Place the weave on your head and feel out the braids to make sure that the weave lines up with the braids. Use hair pins to secure the weave on the braids to hold it in place.

Step 3: Begin to sew in the weave starting from the area above temples, down and around to the other side.

Step 4: Once you are don’t sewing the weave, simply flip up the edges and then apply to adhesive to complete the process. You can then simply style the weave as desired.

How Many Bundles should you Use?
The number of bundles you need will depend on the length of the weave. If you are getting 8-14 inches, 2 bundles are often enough to cover the whole head. If on the other hand you want a longer weave between 16 and 22 inches, you need to purchase at least 3 bundles. Anything longer than 22 inches and it is a good idea to get at least 4 bundles to cover the whole head without losing volume.
