They were joined again in 1969 prior to the AFL-NFL merger, after New Orleans played one year in the Century division. With just 201 passing yards, Brees will pass Peyton Manning as the NFL's all-time passing yardage leader. Brees could hold this record by halftime, and almost certainly before the end of the 3rd quarter, with the matchup advantages that New Orleans looks to have against the Washington secondary.
